Scrambled Tofu

Scrambled Tofu

Serves 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of firm smoked tofu
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 large red onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • Olive oil
  • Ground black pepper and sea salt to taste

Cooking method:

  1. Squeeze out any excess water from the tofu
  2. Crumble the tofu in a bowl ( make it to an even texture, similar to scrambled eggs)
  3. Add the soy sauce and turmeric and mix well
  4. Saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil for a few minutes
  5. Add in the tofu and heat through while stirring continually
  6. Serve on toast like scrambled egg, or with a salad as a light meal
